The IKA DISPAX-REACTOR® DR 2000 machine includes three consecutive dispersing stages, creates high shear forces and is designed for the production of particularly fine emulsions and suspensions. The shear forces generated in the working chamber cause intensive material movement, thanks to which this machine also accelerates the dissolution of mono- and macromolecular substances. The combination of three consecutive stages of rotor-stator generators ensures the formation of the smallest droplets and particles, as well as a narrow range of their size distribution. Thus, highly stable emulsions and suspensions can be obtained in just one pass.
The DISPAX-REACTOR® flow machines use the same dispersion principle as the popular ULTRA-TURRAX® machines of the UTC and UTL series. The extremely small volume of the working chamber ensures a uniform effect on the product passing through it.
The current DR machine can be installed in line behind a container of pre-mixed product. In a semi-continuous process, the product passes through the machine where it is perfectly homogenized.
In a fully continuous process, the components to be mixed are fed into the machine at proportional volumetric flow rates through various inlet connections. These components are then thoroughly mixed, dispersed or homogenized and pumped out through the machine outlet.
A wide range of generators ensures that the DISPAX-REACTOR® DR can be perfectly adapted to the customer's requirements. The standard configuration consists of a series of pre-, medium- and fine rotor-stator systems, which ensures sufficient particle size reduction and guarantees optimal dispersion results in just one pass.
The DISPAX-REACTOR® DR 2000 flow machine range includes eight different sizes with water throughputs ranging from 80 l/h (DR 2000/03) to 125,000 l/h (DR 2000/50). All machine sizes can operate at the same rotor speed, which ensures reliable scalability.
