The IKA conical mixer type CM provides efficient and gentle mixing of bulk materials. The conical mixer is suitable for mixing any bulk materials, including products with varying bulk densities and particle sizes.
Mixing is carried out using a special spiral mixer. Thanks to the cantilever arrangement of the mixing element on the container lid, it is possible to do without shaft seals that come into contact with the product. The aerodynamic shape of the mixer helps reduce friction and increase vertical lift. The product is intensively mixed in both radial and tangential directions. A flow deflector built into the lid stimulates turbulence in the product processing area. The speed of the spiral mixer is continuously adjustable, so it can be easily adapted to the properties of the product.
The conical shape of the container ensures 100 percent product discharge and ease of cleaning. Upon request, the cover can be equipped with three rotating nozzles for thorough, dead-zone-free, non-disassembly CIP cleaning.
A significant innovation in the mixer design is a combined device for lifting and rotating the lid or lifting and tilting the container. A special tipping device provides a 90° lift-turn of the lid together with the agitator for optimal control and cleaning of the work area.
Alternatively, this mechanism allows the container to be tilted with the lid closed. The inclined position of the container during the process significantly increases the drying efficiency. The advantages of mixing the product in an inclined position are due to the force of gravity acting on the product being dried, in addition to the forces arising from the operation of the mixer. The container can be installed in any position at an angle from 0° to 45°.
The working capacity of the basic conical mixer is mounted on tubular supports with flat bases for fastening to the floor.
The high-quality mixer container (with lifting and tilting device) is equipped with rollers that allow it to be rolled out of the base frame with integrated electrical control. On request, the conical mixer can be equipped with several identical mobile mixing tanks, storage tanks or reaction tanks.
